Step Deck Trailer

A step deck has two deck levels. The higher level and shorter one is positioned closer to the front of the trailer where the tractor hitch is located. The lower level and longer one make up the rest of the trailer length.

Step deck trailers have a height permit advantage over a traditional flatbed trailer. You can transport higher loads, in height, without having to apply for additional permits. Their specific design allows for large loads to be positioned lower down to avoid any height restrictions.

Step decks are also easier for forklifts. Since the step deck trailer is lower to the ground, lifting a heavy-weight load with a forklift is easier. Step deck trailers are also perfectly designed for transporting large machinery and heavy equipment. Large pieces of equipment can be loaded securely and safely with ease.
